Jörg Riommi was born in Rome from a german mother and italian father, and grew up in Italy.
After studying languages and communication, he had his university 5 years training in Science of communications at La Sapienza University in Rome, specialized in corporate communications and graduated in 2001 with laude with a thesis called "The sense of non sense advertising".
After an experience as TV writer in Italy, in the last 10 years he has been working for Saatchi&Saatchi as a creative thinker and senior copywriter, and in the last 3 years as creative director.
He worked for Saatchi&Saatchi Rome, S. Juan Puerto Rico and Bucharest, and joined several network projects in Madrid, Amsterdam, Paris, Copenhagen, Geneve, Brussels, Milan and New York among others.
He worked therefore in very different markets (Western Europe, Central America and Eastern Europe) for clients such as Procter&Gamble - Ariel, Head&Shoulders, Pampers, Olay - Renault, Toyota, Raiffeisen Bank, Novartis, Enel, Marlboro, Peroni Nastro Azzurro, WWF, Greenpeace and Save the Children.
In Saatchi Bucharest, 2007 to august 2011, he has been copywriter, CD and ECD. Here he won in just a couple of years more than 40 national and international awards. Among his international recognitions, Cannes, New York Festival, London International Awards, Eurobest, Cresta, Epica, Golden Drum, Golden Hammer, AdPrint, Meribel, ADCI, Ad Or, several Luerzer's Archive publications and numerous other shortlists. He managed to bring the Saatchi office to #1 creative agency in Romania in 2008 and 2009, #3 in the Golden Drum Region in 2008 and 6th most awarded Saatchi agency worldwide in 2008 according to the Gunn Report.
Over the years he also offered lessons on creativity and communication themes in collaboration with the John Cabot University in Rome and the Cannes Kindergarden in Bucharest.
In 2010 he was member of the Direct, Sales promotion and Interactive jury at the Dubai Lynx Award, and will be a member of the print jury of the 2012 New York Festival.
His mother tongue is Italian, but he fluently speaks and writes both in English and Spanish, and has a good understanding of German and French. Currently he's trying to improve his Romanian.
When he's not working, he's either taking photographs, writing songs or in the jungle.
